I just scanned through the book "The End of Diabetes: The Eat to Live Plan to Prevent and Reverse Diabetes" by Dr Joel Fuhrman. I bought the book recently for Latte (TT).
According to his Nutritarian food pyramid for diabetics (page 52), the daily food for a diabetic should be up to 70% vegetables including salads to help heal the diabetes. No processed foods, milk, cheese, beef and sugar.
