On 2011-08-25, I accompanied my mum to see a doctor (a general practitioner) in the morning. He was surprised when I mentioned that Omron HEM-7200 Automatic blood pressure monitor could detect irregular heartbeat. He said, “Wah, now so advanced.” This made me wonder how up-to-date are some of our doctors (physicians) nowadays.
Another question I have is why doctors still use the mercury sphygmomanometer instead of a automatic blood pressure monitor?
Can anybody enlighten me?
