By 2030, Singapore will be home to 152,000 people with dementia. Are we prepared for this?

Dementia is not a normal part of ageing. It affects a person's ability to think, work and navigate the world. It also leads to physical decline.

About one in 10 people over the age of 60 in Singapore could be living with dementia and more are being diagnosed with the disease when younger.

It's not just those diagnosed with the disease who are affected, but also their caregivers and the community.

Communities are being primed to support persons with dementia and their caregivers.

With the help of volunteers and persons with dementia, dementia-friendly neighbourhoods are being designed, with way-finding murals and help stations.
