My 10th homemade bread. My very first Regular Basic 100% whole wheat flour (atta) bread with light crust made on 2013-10-07. Results: Do not look "beautiful" but the taste and texture are good for me.

My 10th homemade bread. My very first Regular Basic 100% whole wheat flour (atta) bread with light crust made on 2013-10-07. Recipe/Ingredients Ref: M2013J07. Started at 7.07 am. Ended: 10.37 am. Baking time: 3.5 hours. Weight of bread made = 340 grams. Results: Size is smaller than usual basic white bread. Do not look "beautiful" but the taste and texture are good for me.

The basic 100% whole wheat flour bread (was baked with Zojirushi bread maker model BB-HAQ10. Baking time: 3.5 hours.

Recipe/Ingredients Ref: M2013J07

(1) 2/3 cup of water
(2) 2 cups of House brand fine ground  whole wheat flour (atta) [100% whole wheat flour (atta)]. Weight per cup is about 100 grams.
(3) 1.5 tablespoons of sugar
(4) 1.5 tablespoons of dry milk
(5) 0.5 teaspoon of salt
(6) 1.5 tablespoons of butter (Estimated)
(8) 1 teaspoon of Bake King brand instant yeast

Note 1:  The cup and spoons are the measuring cup and spoons delivered with the Zojirushi bread maker.

Note 2: Cooling for one hour before packing. I ate the first two slices with cheese at 5.30 pm on 2013-10-07. Texture and taste were good.

Comments: (1) The bread is smaller than that of normal regular basic white bread. (2) The side "walls" and bread bottom are harder and more brownish. (3)

My final verdict:  The bread does not look "beautiful" but the taste and texture are good for me.

Possible actions for further improvement: 1) Use one cup of water. (2) Use more yeast. (3) Use more 100% whole wheat flour.
