Why go natural?

It just makes sense! Think aboutthis: Your body was created through a 100% natural process. Why would youbelieve that it would efficiently process artificial products? The fact is thatour 100% naturally made bodies crave 100% naturally made products. Eating pure, natural foods will change your life!

What about NaturalHealing?

When it comes to healing, the sameconcept applies from above: our natural bodies react best to natural remedies. Our bodies often struggle to process synthetic pills and medications, whilethese same drugs are only trying to emulate therapies found naturallythroughout the world.

Some researchers have argued that the ideal BMI range for older adults (specifically those over 75 years) should be shifted up to 23–25 kg/m2 to allow for body composition changes. Stevens J. has reviewed the evidence for this.

Is the patient already underweight? Assessed using BMI, where less than 20 kg/m2 shows an increased risk of malnutrition.

Note: From 2010-02-01, Watson weighing scale hadreplaced Camry, which became faulty. In the past reading of Camry was about500g more than that of Watson. To maintain consistency, so my weight =Watsonreading (in kg) + 500g.

On 2010-03-28, at about 7.40 am, my weight by Camry = 55.9kg + 500g = 56.4 kg. I also used Tanita BC-532 Body Composition Monitor to confirm that my weight was 56.4 kg.

My current BMI is within the healthy range of 18.5 to 22.9.

For me, the range of healthy weight is 50.9786 kg (BMI = 18.5) to 63.10324 kg(BMI = 22.9).

People with BMI values of 23 kg/m2 (or 25 kg/m2 according to some sources) andabove have been found to be at risk of developing heart disease and diabetes.

To be healthy, I must have a healthy weight.

Be as lean as possible without being underweight, as recommended by WorldCancer Prevention Foundation, United Kingdom.

Malnutrition can be suspected in anyone over age 65 with body mass index (BMI) less than 22. A desirable BMI is 22 to 27.A BMI over 27 suggests obesity.

According to page 303 of the book “Medical Speech-language Pathology: A Practitioner ́s Guide” (ISBN 978-1588903204) by Alex F. Johnson and Barbara Holcomb Jacobson, malnutrition can also be suspected in anyone over age 65 with body mass index (BMI) less than 22. A desirable BMI is 22 to 27. A BMI over 27 suggests obesity.

Info source: http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/149465.php

Why Raw?

The concept of eating predominantly raw food is not only good for you – it’s also good science! Cooking destroys valuable nutrients, enzymes and vitamins in your meals and chemically changes them, contributing to chronic health problems and low energy levels. The meal options available to us in today's hectic lifestyle are mostly depleted of essential nutrients needed by the body. The only way is to eat raw!

By eating raw living foods you may enjoy benefits such as:
• Clear glowing skin and shiny hair
• Pain-free joints
• Weight loss
• Restful sleep
• Sustained high energy level
• Reduced or eliminated cellulite
• Increased mental focus
• More youthful appearance and many more!!

Gene Discovery Reveals Importance of Eating Your Greens

Eating your greens may be even more important that previously thought, with the discovery that an immune cell population essential for intestinal health could be controlled by leafy greens in your diet.

The immune cells, named innate lymphoid cells (ILCs), are found in the lining of the digestive system and protect the body from 'bad' bacteria in the intestine.

They are also believed to play an important role in controlling food allergies, inflammatory diseases and obesity, and may even prevent the development of bowel cancers.

Dr Gabrielle Belz, Ms Lucie Rankin, Dr Joanna Groom and colleagues from the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute's Molecular Immunology division have discovered the gene T-betis essential for producing a population of these critical immune cells and that the gene responds to signals in the food we eat.

Cabbage Juice

Another great anti-cancer juice option is cabbage. The bitter taste may be off putting to some, so add carrot juice to balance the flavor. This vegetable is rich in vitamin K, C, fiber, manganese, B6, folic acid, omega 3 fatty acids, calcium, phyto-nutrients and antioxidants. According to the thebestofrawfoods.com, cabbage juice can lower the risk of colon, lung, breast and prostate cancer. Red cabbage is best, but white cabbage as well as kale, broccoli and collard greens can also be used for this anti-cancer juice recipe.

Avocados and Whole Grains are brain booster

Add Avocados and Whole Grains
Every organ in the body depends on blood flow, especially the heart and brain.

Eating a diet high in whole grains and fruits like avocados can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and lower bad cholesterol. This reduces your risk of plaque buildup and enhances blood flow, offering a simple, tasty way to fire up brain cells.

Whole grains, like popcorn and whole wheat, also contribute dietary fiber and vitamin E.

Though avocados have fat, it's the good-for-you, monounsaturated fat that contributes to healthy blood flow.

Nuts and seeds and dark chocolate are brain booster

Take a Daily Dose of Nuts and Chocolate
Nuts and seeds are good sources of the antioxidant vitamin E, which is associated with less cognitive decline as you age.

Dark chocolate also has other powerful antioxidant properties. And it contains natural stimulants like caffeine, which can enhance focus and concentration.

Enjoy up to an ounce a day of nuts and dark chocolate to provide all the benefits you need without excess calories, fat, or sugar.

Fish is a brain food

Fish Really is Brain Food
A protein source associated with a great brain boost is fish -- rich in omega 3 fatty acids, essential for brain function and development. These healthy fats have amazing brain power: higher dietary omega 3 fatty acids are linked to lower dementia and stroke risks; slower mental decline; and may play a vital role in enhancing memory, especially as we get older.
For brain and heart health, eat two servings of fish weekly.
