Smoothie: Orange + carrot Cold water recipe for Latte 090331
At about 7.30 am on 2009-03-31 (Mon), I made smoothie with the following:
(a) One Orange without skin and seeds = 140g.
(b) peeled carrot = 1000g
(c) Cold water = 100 ml
Method: Use Smoothie Function of Philips Blender HR 2094 3 times for about 20 seconds each time with a 5-second break in between
Total Estimated Dietary Fiber = 6.16 g.
Total Estimated Energy = 106.8 kcal
Smoothie produced with Philips Blender HR 2094 = About 240 ml
No. of Serves = 1
Tasters: Latte (1 serve 240ml)
Verdict: OK
Note: Both orange and carrot are alkaline in nature
My Comment on the smoothie: It is rich in vitamins, enzyme, high in dietary fiber, low in calorie and an alkaline food.

(c) Chopped and then Frozen Banana (1 big banana) without skin = 120 g
(d) Ice cubes = 100g
(e) Cold water = 50 ml
Method: Use Smoothie Function of Philips Blender HR 2094 3 times for about 20 seconds each time with a 5-second break in between.

First Smoothie made by me with Philips Blender HR 2094 with an orange and an apple on 2008-09-17 (Wednesday)
At about 10.30 am on 2008-09-17 (Wednesday), I made my first smoothie with the following:
(a) Orange without skin and seeds = 140 g.
(b) Fuji apple without skin and seeds = 130 g.
(c) Cold water = 110 ml
Estimated Dietary Fiber = 5.05 g.
Estimated Energy = 128.2 kcal
Method: Use “Smoothie” Function for 3 times of about 20 seconds each.
Smoothie produced with Philips Blender HR 2094 = About 230 ml
Verdict: Very Delicious!
Cleaning Method:(a) I rinsed the jar without the all parts including the Blade unit twice and then placed securely the jar on the motor unit.
(b) Use the “Smoothie” function to “wash” the jar and the parts within.
(c) Repeat steps (a) and (b) three times.
(d) Left the clean water in the jar for about 30 minutes before pouring it away.
(e) The blender will be use for the rest of the day before washing all the removable parts tonight.
Note: I learned the above cleaning method from a demonstrator of a much more expensive blender of different but very well known brand. My cleaning method is not the method recommended by the Philips blender manual.
