Multivitamins helps to improve memory and slow down cognitive decline associated with ageing.

*Multivitamins*

A new study published in late May in the American Journal Of Clinical Nutrition has found that taking a daily multivitamin tablet – which can be bought from supermarkets and pharmacies – helps to improve memory and slow down cognitive decline associated with ageing.

A group of scientists from Harvard Medical School and Columbia University confirmed that data collected from monitoring 3,500 people over the age of 60 who took a multivitamin for seniors called Centrum Silver over a period of three years showed they had better memory than those who received a placebo.

The seniors showed an improvement in their ability to recall items on a cognitive test by 12 per cent compared with their baseline performance three years prior to the testing.

Those with heart disease who took multivitamins also showed the biggest improvements in memory compared with those without heart issues.

Superfoods vs multivitamins

A superfood is rich in one or a few micronutrients. And only multivitamins and other non herbal vitamins and minerals can provide a person with sufficient daily micronutrients. Take a certain supplement for specific purposes. Example: Biotin is good for skin and hair and finger nails.

My positive experiences with health supplements

My experiences with health supplements

*I don't have teeth and gum problems and mouth ulcers, hand eczema anymore* after I re -started to take the following regularly every day before 2359 hours 2 years ago:

1. Multivitamins,
2. Vitamin C 1000mg
3. B Complex 100,

Now I also take
4. OMEGA 3 fish oil
5. Biotin 10000mcg (for hair and skin, finger nails. Very good)
6. zinc 15mg
7. Other less important health supplements.

*My overall immune system is much better too. All thanks to the health supplements I take.*

Sometimes I feel getting sick,  just take Panadol, take a good sleep and get well again.

The 3 key health supplements recommended by Dr Daniel Amen

If you are not taking any supplements at the moment and you feel pretty healthy, should you still take supplements?

[Question by CBSnews 2010-05-08:]

If you are not taking any supplements at the moment and you feel pretty healthy, should you still take supplements?

[Answer by Dr Daniel Amen:]

I recommend three things for my patients: A good multivitamin, because 91 percent of Americans do not have the minimum requirement of five servings of fruit and vegetables per day -- the minimum requirement to get the nutrition you need. I recommend all of my patients take Omega 3 fatty acid supplements because, when those levels are low , people are vulnerable to dementia, depression, even suicide. Taking Omega threes has been found to be good for your heart, skin, eyes, joints , hair and brain. And everyone should get their Vitamin D level checked.

In the last five years, there has been a lot of information that has suggested that two-thirds of Americans are low in Vitamin D. And when you are low in Vitamin D, you are hungry all the time and you are at risk for cancer, diabetes, multiple sclerosis and heart attack.

I stopped carrying moisturising cream in my trousers' pocket on 2016-11-26 because I myself have healed my hand eczema.

I stopped carrying moisturising cream in my trousers' pocket on 2016-11-26 for my hand eczema.

For the last two months (since around the end of September 2016), I had not used the Aqurea moisturising cream kept in my left pocket of my trousers because I did not  need it to moisturise, hydrate, or soothe skins of both hands. Aqurea moisturising cream had helped me a lot before I healed my hand eczema myself.

I have more or less solved my hand eczema by taking appropriate health supplements daily.

The most important ones are:

(1) Multi Vitaminns,
(2) B Complex 100
(3) Vitamin C.

In the mean time, I must avoid eating prawns.

Multi-vitamin, Vitamin c and the prevention of MUSCLE CANCER SARCOMA

The following is extracted from http://www.canceranswers.com/Muscle.Cancer.html

Can Sarcomas Be Prevented?

There is no sure way to prevent sarcomas. It is always a good idea to avoid unnecessary exposure to potential carcinogens and avoid unwarranted X-rays. This is especially true for patients with family susceptibility to cancers, or who actually have genetic diseases. If a worrisome sign or symptom arises (see below) it should be evaluated promptly, and not ascribed to some benign process without proof. Eating a diet with enough vitamin C ("Ascorbic Acid") is important for proper maintainance and healing of soft tissues. Vitamin C deficiency results in a breakdown of the soft tissues ("scurvy"), since it is essential for crosslinking their crucial collagen proteins. However, taking too much can also be harmful by causing the blood to become too acidic ("ascorbic acidemia"). A standard supplement multi-vitamin is well advised.

Why eat less fat and more fresh fruit and vegetable?

Prof Halliwell said: ‘At the moment, all that we can conclusively say is that the populations of advanced countries would benefit from eating less fat and more fresh fruit and vegetables and perhaps taking multivitamin or mineral supplements.’
