5mg biotin daily helped heal my brittle and uneven-surface fingernails

About 2 to 3 months after I started taking "Now Foods, Biotin, 5,000 mcg, 120 Veg Capsules" (price S$12.34) daily, my fingers are much more healthy.

No more easily broken and brittle fingernails.

No more uneven surfaces on my fingernails.

I should have taken a picture of my old bad fingernails.

The U.S. Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) for biotin is 300 micrograms daily.

(5000 mcg)/(300 mcg)
= 16.667

It shows that a very high dose of biotin was required to heal my bad fingernails although I took lower dose of biotin before this 5000 mcg dose.

On 24 February 2016, I made my first purchase of one packet of Origins brand Organic Soya Flour (500g) from RAFFLES CITY MARKET PLACE, #B1-01/02 at S$5.30.

Product Description

Organic Soya flour is freshly ground from premium quality raw soybeans. It is a tasty and simple way to take advantage of soy’s bountiful nutrition. Suggested Use

As an egg substitute in baked foods – Replace one egg with one tablespoon soya flour and one tablespoon water.

For making soya milk – Mix one cup of soya flour with 3 cups of water. Bring water to a boil ad slowly pour the soya flour into the water, stirring constantly with a whisk. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Line a strainer with a cheesecloth and place the strainer on a bowl or pot. Pour the soya flour mixture through the strainer. Cool and refrigerate the milk. Flavor with sweetener, vanilla or other flavoring as desired.

Higher protein flour like bread flour will absorb more liquid than others. When baking with bread flour, add about 2 teaspoons extra liquid for each cup of flour in order to produce the proper consistency of dough.
