About Paula Tazzyman: Sydney Dietitian

"I am a Sydney Dietitian who specialises in working with children with ADHD and those on the Autism Spectrum.

I graduated from the University of Sydney in 1995 with a Masters in Nutrition & Dietetics.  I am a member of the Dietetics Association of Australia (DAA). I am committed to education and professional development as part of our accreditation as well as complying with DAA’s guidelines for best practice and professional standards.

I have worked extensively in the management of Attention Deficit & Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and supporting children diagnosed with Autism  Spectrum Disorder for over 15 years. I was part of the team at Royal Far West Children’s Health Scheme for 11 years where I helped children and families from regional NSW. I had the pleasure to implement educational workshops including obesity management and healthy eating for families as well as  running cooking classes and supermarket tours.

I consider myself so fortunate to have been able to helped thousands of families improve the nutritional status of their children and optimise their health, concentration, learning ability and behaviour via dietary modifications.

I am passionate about the role nutrition has in supporting the total wellbeing and academic achievements of children as well as supporting families, especially mothers, in their nutritional wellness.

I truly love my job and would not want to be doing anything else in my professional life. I gain a great sense of professional satisfaction in the knowing that I have made a difference to children’s lives."
