The digital death certificate can only be downloaded from the portal for 30 days following the date of death. - Control From the Grave: Because the document remains tied to the permissions you established while alive, the trusted person will only be restricted if you manually revoke their access or change their setting to "No Viewing Access" before you pass away. [7]
⚠️ A Crucial Legal Warning
While storing a soft copy of your Will in the My Legacy Vault is an excellent way to let loved ones know it exists, a digital copy is not legally valid for probate in Singapore. To execute your estate, your executors must still locate and present the original physical paper Will to the courts. Be sure to use the vault's notes section to type out the exact physical location (e.g., a specific home safe or law firm) where your original signed Will is kept. [8, 9, 10, 11, 12]
